BirchStreet was included in the Magic Quadrant study and report by Gartner, Inc. for 2016. The report assessed 12 global procure-to-pay companies and their ability to deliver eProcurement functionality, catalog management capabilities, e-invoicing and APIA (accounts payable invoice automation). In the study, Gartner examines the vendor’s ability to execute and completeness of vision.
BirchStreet participated in the Gartner analysis and provided system functionality, company data and customer references for interviews and surveys. BirchStreet is pleased to have been included in such an influential report on procure-to-pay solutions. Due to more stringent inclusion criteria this year, eight other procure-to-pay solutions were dropped, with no new companies added from the previous year. BirchStreet moved into the Visionaries quadrant this year due to advances in innovation and market understanding. BirchStreet was recognized for having high ratings for catalog management and support, along with customers having the ability to connect with their suppliers.
BirchStreet’s extensive focus in the hospitality industry, especially companies that purchase food and beverage, elevates the Company with its strong brand awareness and market share. This focus and brand strength, combined with the system’s ability to address the complexities of the hospitality industry, differentiated them from others in the study. The report also revealed that BirchStreet’s system is well-suited for improving procure-to-pay business processes and compliance by embedding SOPs (standard operating procedures) and BI (business intelligence) across multiple locations, business entities and ERP solutions. The Gartner report notes that the P2P market continues to grow as buyers realize the benefits of cost savings and process improvements.
